Besonders hervorheben möchten wir Anai, die alles unglaublich liebevoll und würdevoll gestaltet hat. Mit viel Feingefühl hat sie uns durch diesen schweren, aber zugleich auch wunderschönen Abschied begleitet und ihn zu einer wertvollen Erinnerung gemacht. Auch wenn es nie leicht ist, einen geliebten Menschen zu verlieren, hat Nemocean Mallorca uns einen Abschied ermöglicht, der tröstlich, friedlich und auf seine Weise wunderschön war. Wir haben am 28. März 2026 unsere geliebte Mama, Oma und Tante im Meer beigesetzt – ein sehr emotionaler und bedeutungsvoller Moment für unsere ganze Familie. Um diese besondere Abschiedsreise zu ermöglichen, haben wir uns an Nemocean gewandt. Schon beim ersten Gespräch hat uns Anna Hausser mit viel Empathie begleitet und uns in den Wochen bis zur Reise hervorragend unterstützt. Wir mussten im Grunde nur unsere Wünsche äußern – Anna hat sich um alles Weitere gekümmert und jede Möglichkeit geprüft, um unsere Vorstellungen umzusetzen. In dieser sensiblen Zeit haben wir uns bei ihr sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Mit ihrer ruhigen und professionellen Art hat sie uns Sicherheit gegeben und uns organisatorisch vollständig entlastet. Selbst besondere Anliegen, wie die Teilnahme meines Cousins im Rollstuhl, wurden von ihr möglich gemacht. Die Fahrt selbst war unbeschreiblich schön. In unserer anfänglichen Unsicherheit war Anna stets präsent – oft fast unbemerkt, aber immer genau im richtigen Moment an unserer Seite. Das Boot sowie die Urne waren liebevoll mit Blumen dekoriert. Die von uns ausgewählte Musik, das stimmige Ambiente und auch das wunderbare Buffet an Bord – alles war perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt. Ein ganz besonderer Dank gilt Anna für ihre einfühlsame Begleitung während des Abschiedsmoments auf dem Meer. Sie hatte alles vorbereitet, sodass wir uns vollkommen auf diesen Augenblick konzentrieren konnten. Die Crew war aufmerksam, respektvoll und genau so präsent, wie es in diesen Momenten passend war. Im Nachhinein haben wir zudem sehr schöne Erinnerungsfotos und Videos erhalten, die uns diesen besonderen Tag bewahren. Was Anna besonders auszeichnet, ist ihre Fähigkeit, individuell auf Menschen einzugehen – fernab von standardisierten Abläufen. Wir können Anna, ihre Mitarbeiter und ihr Unternehmen von Herzen weiterempfehlen und sind unendlich dankbar, dass sie uns diese besondere letzte Reise ermöglicht hat.

Haben die Seebestattung und alles ab dem Krankenhaus für meinen verstorbenen Vater organisiert. Lief alles komplett reibungslos und war ein angenehmer Kontakt. Tolles Schiff (Katamaran), sehr stilvoll mit Blumen nach Wünschen meiner Stiefmutter geschmückt. War eine würdevolle Verabschiedung und in dem Umfeld auch weniger trist als andere Beerdigungen. I couldn't be any happier with the service and funeral that Nemoceans created for my sister and brother-in-law. Anna, Tobias and Christian (who I think are the owners) did everything they possibly could to make this a wonderful experience for the mourners, while keeping it a respectful burial. There was great communication from day one. The boat was luxurious and the crew professional and solicitous. Plenty of room for 20 of us. It was clean and well appointed. Anahi was the Nemoceans liaison on the boat with us and she was on top of everything and guided us through our final goodbye. She took some fabulous photos to boot! The most outstanding thing was that they were even able to find the type of bread that my sister loved and served it as a welcome with fresh butter as we boarded! The brunch was delicious! Grilled bacon, eggs, pastries, jams, coffee and tea....everything one could possibly want! and a full bar! Since my sister and brother-in-law were not flowered people, we opted out of adorning the boat with flowers and instead their florist created a tasteful wreath that surrounded the urns. There were flower petals to spread over the deposit site, creating a beautiful and memorable visual and a moving moment. Last minute changes were handled with aplomb as we deposited both urns. Several of us went swimming. They played music that I especially selected for this occasion. Some were moved to dance, In all, they created a wonderful celebration for 2 persons that were dearly loved. Thank you Anna, Tobias, Christian and Anahi!!!

Are burials at sea legal in Spain?

Yes, sea burials are legal in Spain, provided you are authorised by the competent maritime authorities and fully comply with national maritime and environmental regulations.

Nemocean is one of the few companies authorised to conduct maritime ash scatterings in the Balearic Islands. We strictly comply with all applicable regulations, including scattering ashes at officially authorised coordinates and using biodegradable urns specifically designed for marine environments.

What is the cost of a sea burial in Spain?

The cost of a sea burial in Spain depends on several factors, including the location, type of vessel, number of attendees, and level of personalization.

We offer two main packages:

The final cost may vary if additional services are requested, such as live music or professional photography. We maintain full price transparency and always provide a detailed quotation before confirmation.

How can I transport an urn from another country?

Transporting an urn internationally is generally permitted. However, requirements vary depending on the country of departure and the airline.

In most cases, you will need:

The official cremation certificate
The death certificate
A sealed, non-metallic urn suitable for airport security screening

Most airlines allow cremated remains to be carried in hand luggage, subject to their internal policies. We recommend confirming documentation requirements directly with the airline and, if necessary, the relevant consulate prior to travel.

We also offer a dedicated service to personally transport the urn from Germany to Palma by plane, ensuring safe and compliant handling throughout the journey.

How is the process of a sea burial with Nemocean?

With Nemocean, the process is professionally managed from beginning to end by our experienced and attentive team:

Initial consultation – We discuss your wishes, preferred location, number of guests, and ceremony preferences.
Administrative coordination – We obtain the necessary maritime authorisations and manage all required documentation.
Ceremony planning – Together, we define the structure of the tribute, including readings, music, floral offerings, and route at sea.
Day of the ceremony – The family boards the vessel, sails to the authorised offshore location, and conducts the farewell in a private and respectful setting.
Certificate of sea burial – After the ceremony, we provide official confirmation, including the exact coordinates of the scattering location upon request.
